Microsoft SQL Server is a Microsoft relational database management system designed for enterprises.
Put simply, a SQL Server is a software that manages a database. It uses the Structured Query Language database language to send commands to the server, which performs the appropriate actions and returns the results.
Microsoft SQL Server can be licensed by processor core or by server and access licenses (CALs). Core-based licensing counts the processors running corresponding server instances. Accesses are disregarded.
Server/CAL licensing calculates server instances and accessing clients (users or devices).
The Standard Edition is particularly suitable for medium-sized companies. However, compared to the Enterprise Edition, the standard SQL Server functionality is limited (for example, only 24 cores are supported). SQL Server Enterprise Edition is only available for Core licenses.
VENDOSOFT offers Microsoft SQL Server as used volume licenses with installation media and volume license key – and also as new volume licenses for the 2017 edition.
