Microsoft offers a variety of different cloud solutions for the specific requirements of companies in the cloud.
These plans differ by the scope of the integrated apps and their possible uses (number of possible users).
With the following overview, we would like to give you an initial brief overview of the differences and your options.
We have limited ourselves to the most common cloud solutions.
As Microsoft’s ‘cloud world’ is constantly changing, plans are renamed and/or the composition within the plans changes,

Office applications pure and simple
Microsoft 365 Apps for Business
Only includes the standard Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook in the online and desktop versions (for up to 300 users). Other Office 365 services are not included.
Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise
In addition to the functions of the business version, this version is terminal server-capable.
Cloud plans for up to 300 users
Microsoft 365 Business Basic
For smaller companies that do not need a local installation of Office programmes. Provides access to the most important Office 365 cloud services (Exchange, SharePoint) and Teams for collaboration.
Microsoft 365 Business Standard
In addition to the functions of the Business Basic variant, also offers the desktop versions of the Office applications and extended security functions, webinars and video & design tools.
Microsoft 365 Business Premium
Contains all the functions of the Business Standard version as well as additional tools for managing devices and identities. This version is terminal server compatible.
Microsoft 365 Business … Copilot
All versions are also available in a combination product with the AI assistant Copilot.
Enterprise plans for more than 300 users
Office 365 E1 (with/without Teams)
Contains the Office Online versions (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) for use within a web browser and other online services such as e-mail or OneDrive. Suitable for all employees who have simple requirements for Office programmes and do not need desktop versions.
Office 365 E3 (with/without Teams)
In addition to the functions of E1, it also offers the desktop versions of the Office applications message encryption, rights management and simple data loss protection.
Office 365 E5 (with/without Teams)
Includes all the features of E3 plus advanced security and compliance features as well as telephony/VoIP features and PowerBI.
The premium version of Office 365
Microsoft 365 E3 (with/without Teams)
The Standard Plan for companies includes the desktop operating system Windows 11 Enterprise E3, Office 365 Enterprise E3 (Office package and online services) together with core functions for security and identity management such as the security solution Enterprise Mobility + Security E3.
Microsoft 365 E5 (with/without Teams)
The largest Enterprise plan includes Windows 11 Enterprise E5, Office 365 Enterprise E5 and Enterprise Mobility + Security E5, as well as extended security and compliance functions (including Compliance and Security) and PowerBI.
Microsoft 365 F3/F5
Plan for firstline workers (employees who do not have a fixed workstation, e.g. in the warehouse) who mainly work with the Microsoft Teams or Yammer communication platforms and do not require an Exchange (Outlook) mailbox and whose screen size is no larger than 10.9 inches. Pure online use (no desktop installation).
F5 plans are an add-on with security and compliance functions

Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams enables communication and seamless collaboration via the browser or the Teams desktop app. Communicate easily with colleagues who are in the home office or on the move. Video conferencing, phone calls, chat and an online area for teamwork with file storage and exchange provide the basis for successful collaboration.
The Teams communication platform is no longer included in many cloud plans, but it can be booked as an add-on for every user.
Microsoft Copilot
Your AI assistant for work. Microsoft 365 Copilot combines the power of artificial intelligence with your company data. Copilot integrates seamlessly with applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams. It provides the user with contextualised support and thus increases productivity. Microsoft 365 Copilot offers numerous possibilities for simplifying and automating workflows or improving collaboration.
Security
In addition to the standard security solutions, Microsoft also offers a variety of different add-ons that can be selected depending on individual challenges and requirements.
