Buy Adobe InCopy Single Licence

Adobe InCopy is Adobe’s professional writing and editorial solution for teams working with Adobe InDesign. Copywriters, editors and proofreaders can edit text content, track changes and adjust text length while designers simultaneously work on the layout within the same document, without blocking one another. As an authorised Adobe reseller with more than 10 years of market experience, VENDOSOFT supports businesses with compliant Adobe software licensing through personal service, direct communication and genuine expertise.

InCopy is available exclusively as a single-user licence. Organisations that also require InDesign and additional Adobe applications will often find Adobe Creative Cloud Pro to be the more cost-effective solution, as it includes both applications. VENDOSOFT provides free advice on selecting the most suitable licensing combination.

Product Description - Adobe InCopy

Adobe InCopy bridges the gap between editorial and design workflows. Authors, editors and designers can work simultaneously on the same InDesign document without affecting each other's work. This is made possible by an integrated check-in/check-out mechanism that ensures only one person can edit a specific text section at a time, while all other content remains protected.
InCopy users do not view their text in isolation but within the complete layout context, including column widths, line breaks and graphic frames. InDesign does not need to be installed on the user’s computer for this purpose. Adobe InCopy is ideal for publishers, agencies and businesses with regular publishing workflows.
In addition, InCopy can also be used independently, without an existing InDesign layout.
Within a collaborative workflow, InDesign manages the layout while InCopy users independently edit, fit and proofread their assigned text sections.

Features of Adobe InCopy

  • Three editing modes: Galley View for focused writing, Story View for structured text editing and Layout View for working within the full InDesign layout context
  • Simultaneous document editing: Multiple users can work on the same InDesign document at the same time, protected against overwriting through the check-in/check-out process
  • Track Changes: Text modifications are highlighted in colour and can be accepted or rejected individually or collectively
  • Editorial notes: Comments and annotations can be added directly to text sections, visible to all contributors without affecting the text flow
  • Copyfitting: Real-time display showing whether text fits within the designated frame, with direct control over line breaks, hyphenation and kerning
  • Assignments: InDesign users can export defined text sections and assign them directly to individual InCopy users
  • InCopy on the Web (Beta): Edit text directly in a browser with real-time synchronisation to the InDesign desktop application and automatic frame locking during concurrent access
  • Professional typography: Complete character formatting, OpenType fonts, glyphs and special characters via Adobe Fonts
  • Paragraph and character styles: Formatting styles from InDesign are carried over into InCopy and are immediately available for use
  • Table editing: Create, edit and format tables directly in InCopy
  • Import graphics: Insert images into text sections and perform basic transformations such as scaling and cropping
  • Footnotes & endnotes: Insert and manage directly within InCopy
